[Video] Kissing A Banana Slug At Lillie’s Alma Mater

(Scroll down for videos)

That’s Lillie with UC Santa Cruz’s illustrious mascot: The banana slug. And if you’re here to watch a video of me kissing one then you’ve come to the right place.

It all started on our trip to visit her alma mater aptly nicknamed ‘UC Sexy Calves,’ located on the beautiful Northern coast of California. You may not guess it from the pictures (/s), but this ‘so-called’ campus is basically a beautiful redwood forest where people also happen to go to school.

But for the students here, the iconic tradition is that the first time you see a banana slug you are required by divine decree to connect lips with it’s soft glistening surface!

Thankfully, I didn’t see one right off the bat. Instead what I saw was a beautiful opportunity to shoot some photos. A passtime that you all know is quite common for yours truly.

But that would be short-lived…

Because shortly after getting to see the dorm Lillie dwelled in during her time at ‘UC Smokes-Cannabis’…

And an impromptu beauty shot for my new upcoming directing reel…

We finally happened upon the slimy, juicy, slithery beast of magnificence to those who call themselves Santa-Cruzians.

An honorable tribe member of the same family from which the mascot known as ‘Sammy The Slug’ springs forth…

The illustrious… BANANA SLUG.

How would she taste? The revelation was only moments away…

BEHOLD… MY FIRST KISSING OF AN INDIGENOUS BANANA SLUG!

Might I have kissed the royal slug itself? Might I have touched lips to the one they call Sammy?

Only God and the slug know.

Behind-The-Scenes

Shot on our iPhones and featuring locations on UC Santa Cruz Campus, around the region of Santa Cruz, California, and the trip home.

Formal Photography

Shot on my Sony A7SIII in the same areas as above. Photos are predominantly “auto” corrected in Adobe Camera Raw and in some cases minimally edited. I would classify these as pretty much out-of-camera with minor exception.

Giving your feedback helps me bring you better stuff!

Your thoughtfulness and help is greatly appreciated and I’ll personally use this to improve!
